Chris Gober is a seventh-generation Texan, proud Texas A&M Aggie, husband of 18 years, and father to two daughters. He grew up in the rural communities of Throckmorton and Graham, where he learned to work hard, look out for his neighbors, and take pride in where he came from. Faith, family, and personal responsibility remain the foundation of his life.
Small-town Texas also taught Chris how easily rural communities get overlooked. When Throckmorton faced a water crisis, neighbors came together to build an emergency pipeline. Stories like that are why he fights for rural Texans to have an affordable place to live, good jobs close to home, and responsible stewardship of the water, land, and resources that sustain their communities.
After Texas A&M and Harvard Law School, Chris went to work at the U.S. Department of Justice, focusing on national security and border security. He then came home to Texas and built his own businesses from the ground up, starting with $10,000 in savings. Along the way, he earned a national reputation for winning tough legal battles and defending constitutional freedoms all the way to the Supreme Court.
Chris has lived the American Dream because of a promise our Founders made: that in this country, you can go as far as your talents and hard work will take you. But he knows that promise isn't guaranteed to the next generation.
That's why Chris is running for Congress: to make life affordable again, keep the border secure, clean up Washington, and protect rural Texas, so the next generation inherits the frontiers, freedoms, and boundless opportunity that made Texas great.
